== Full Coin Photos ==
These full-coin shots are of what I will call the two discovery coins. The uncirculated specimen (ANACS 62) is the official discovery coin as designated by Leroy Van Allen. The worn specimen (PCGS 3) was the first coin upon which the far date was noticed together with the distinctive reverse. Due to wear, however, it could not be used to verify the existence of a new variety. Nevertheless, it was "discovered" before the uncirculated coin. Therefore, for the purposes of VAM history, both coins have claims to the "discovery coin" title.
