1884-O VAM-7 O/O Tilted Left, Far Date

Discovered by Sylvia Johnson, April 1966. Revised December 2012 Ray Castro
7 (revised) III2 4 - C3d (O/O Tilted Left) (181) I-2 R-4
Obverse III2 4 - Date set further right than normal.
Reverse C3d - II O mint mark repunched with original showing diagonally within opening. Right wreath doubled on outside and TATES OF AMERICA doubled at bottom inside of letters. Long faint die diagonal gouge on middle of inner feathers of eagle's right wing. Slight polished beveled field at eagle's left leg.
