1881-S VAM-8A S/S Right
Discovered by Bill Fivaz, February 1973.
8A III2 1 - C3d (S/S Right) (183) I-2 R-4
Obverse III2 1- First 8 has a short die chip inside the upper loop at 11 o'clock. Second 8 has chips in lower loop. A spiked die chip is also at top left outside of second 8.
Reverse C3d- Mint mark is repunched with original showing as a vertical bar to right of top serif. Loop of mint mark filled.
