Discovered January 2009
66 III2 13 - C3a (Doubled 18-1) (?) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 13- 1 doubled slightly at top left of lower crossbar, bottom left and top right of vertical shaft. First 8 doubled strongly on surface at top and right inside and bottom outside of lower loop. Second 1 doubled slightly at top left of upper crossbar.
1. Leroy Van Allen writes, "Has obverse of VAM24 III2-13 with doubled 18-1 without a spike in top loop of left 8 of some other doubled dates. Doesn't have S/S of VAM24 however, but just filled S m/m. So is new die combo of EDS obverse die with later die state reverse". There is no Vam Plate provided by Leroy Van Allen. The photos that follow are from the Discovery coin. It is in an ANACS MS-63 OBV DMPL holder.
2. This obverse shared with VAM-24 and VAM-66.
