1880-S VAM-4 Doubled Date

Discovered by George Mallis, June 1965.

4 III2 2 ∙ C3a (Doubled Date) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 2 – Entire date is doubled. 1 doubled at the bottom. First 8 is doubled on bottom surface of lower loop. Second 8 is doubled on lower left outside of upper loop. 0 is doubled at top left and right outside.
Reverse C3a – Normal die with medium IV S mint mark.
