1880-O VAM-53B Doubled 880 & Lower Rev., Die Scratches Wreath & Wing, Clashed Obv us & Rev M

Discovered by Bill Van Note, July 2006.
53B III222 · C3n (Doubled 880 & Lower Rev., Die Scratches Wreath & Wing, Clashed Obv us & Rev M) (176) I-3 R-6
Obverse III222– Clashed die with faint partial incuse u in hair junction above right hair vee of lower hair edge and partial incuse s of Trust in right hair vee.
Reverse C3n– Clashed die with faint raised designer’s initial M from obverse above d in God.

1. The VAM-30 and VAM-53 , VAM-53A , VAM-53B are all a III2 22 obverse die class but have different obverses.
2. the VAM-30 does not have the gouge in the D shaped Void or the line in the B of Liberty on Obverse.
