1879-S VAM-65

Discovered September, 2007, by Brian Raines.
65 III2 2c ∙ C3a (Open 9, Acid Treated Wreath) (181) I-3 R-5
Obverse III2 2c - Open 9 in date with same obverse die as VAM-34 with triple diagonal polishing lines in lower part of T in LIBERTY.
Reverse C3x - Same reverse as VAM-16A , 75 and 80 with triangular acid treated lower right ribbon middle towards S mint mark, bow and some leaves in wreath.
Comments:
1- This obverse die was used on VAM-34 and VAM-65.
2- This reverse die was used on VAM-16A, VAM-65, VAM-75 and VAM-80
3- The Reverse Die use sequence is VAM-80, followed by VAM-65, then VAM-16A and lastly VAM-75.
