Obverse III2 3 9 in date doubled on left side. On some specimens, 8 has spike of metal on left side between loops.Open 9 variety.
VAM 54 is revised to eliminate die chips below 18 and added to VAM 15 description.

Reverse C3f Filled IV S mint mark with top serif doubled on lower right side and slightly at very bottom.

Comments:Vam 54 is known with and without die chips at 18
