1879-S VAM-19 S/S Tilted Left
Discovered by Oscar Simpson, March 1977.
19 III2 1 ∙ C3g (S/S Tilted Left) (184) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 1 – Normal die of closed 9 with polishing lines in 8.
Reverse C3g – IV S Mint mark doubled on left side of top loop with tilt to left.
Comments:
1- this Variety appears to share an Obverse and reverse with VAM-36, The difference is the VAM-36 has cooties
Since tditd vam 19/36 are the same,keep in mind the cootie impr starts disappearing in especimens in less than au grade
