1879-O VAM-37 Doubled 8-9, O Tilted Left

Discovered by Mike Emswiler, June 2002.

37 III2 27 · C3e (Doubled 8-9, O Tilted Left) ( ? ) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 27 – 8 slightly doubled on surface at left inside of upper loop. 9 slightly doubled on left outside of both loops. Slight slant to date with 9 higher than 1. Horizontal polishing lines below 18.
Reverse C3e – Centered II O (oval medium) mint mark tilted slightly left.

Comments:
1- This reverse shared with VAM-7, VAM-13, and VAM-37.
2- There is a discrepancy. VAM-37 is listed with Medium II O C3e, while 48 was listed with Large IV O C3u
