1878-S VAM-51 Engraved Wing Feather, Over Polished Ear, Weak STAT

Obverse II 1– Die1 - Over polished ear and faint spike below eyelid front. Fourth right star broken.
Die 2 - Die marker - Long diagonal polishing line right of lower hair curl. Die chips upper neck. Raised metal in both 8's loops from die polishing. Similar to VAM-39. Fourth right star broken. Reverse die earliest die state without over polished wings.
Reverse B2ai– Feather engraved between eagle’s right wing and leg. R in Trust not broken. Slight notch at top of top serif of small S mint mark. Center of eagle’s right and left wings over polished and STAT is very shallow for Die 1 obverse. Slightly doubled tops of ONE DOL towards coin center. Die marker - Two horizontal polishing lines in upper tail feathers. (Also used for VAM-101).
