1878-S VAM-1 Normal Die

Discovered by Howard Newcomb, February 1913.

1 II1 - B2a (Normal Die) (184) I-1 R-2
Obverse II1 - Broken point on star 4 right. 7 doubled slightly on right side (a hub defect).
Reverse B2a - Small III S mint mark.

Likely Does NOT Exist

1- Some specimens show diagonal polishing marks in eagle's tail feathers and through first top berry in left wreath or horizontal polishing lines through neck and eagle's right wing.
