1878-P VAM-196 Doubled 878

Discovered by Richard Deters, September 1973.
196 II/I 22 - B2f (Doubled 878) (179) I-3 R-4
Obverse II/I 22 -
Reverse B2f - Die overpolished with part of eagle's lower right wing missing next to leg.

Comments:
1. B2f reverse is found on VAMs 196, 197, and 198. The unclashed VAM 196 appears to be scarcer than the LDS clashed V 196A.
2. VAMs 196 and VAM-142 share the same obverse.
3. LIBERTY doubled shifted left. Date doubled at tops of 878 and right side of 7. All stars slightly doubled. P,R,U,U, and M doubled.
