1878-P VAM-141A Tripled Right Star, Die Gouge Wing Tip
Discovered October 2006 by Clayton Christiansen
This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM
141A II/I 19 · B2i (Tripled Right Star, Die Gouge Wing Tip) (194) I-4 R-5
Reverse B2i– Short shallow diagonal die gouge from upper side of eagle’s left wing tip. Scattered light polishing lines in lower fields.
Comments:
1- The die gouge on the upper side of the eagle's left wing can certainly be seen better holding the coin than it is in this photo.
The gouge is what makes the difference between the VAM 141 and the VAM 141A. The VAM 141 page should be reviewed before seeking
this gouge.

As demonstrated in the photograph below, there are die polishing marks in numerous areas in the lower fields.
