19B II 1 - B1f (Wide CC With Dot, Die Break R ) (179) I-3 R-7
Obverse II 1 - Die 1 obverse after use of Die 2 obverse that developed a die break between RI.
Reverse B 1f - Radial die crack from rim thru R in AMERICA over thru wreath towards wing with displaced field break at wreath to R.
1- From John Roberts, the Director of Attribution Services at ANACS, a prolific writer of coin articles for Coin World magazine
and numismatic books including, "A Guide to the Varieties of the 1878 Carson City Morgan Dollar".
"A new wrinkle for Morgans, a documented remarriage. The VAM 19.1 obverse was placed back into service after the VAM 19A break
forced the retirement of that obverse. 1st marriage VAM 19.1 examples will lack any of the crack pattern thru STATES that we see on mid die
stage VAM 19.2 pieces and the VAM 19A. 2nd marriage VAM 19.1 pieces will always be cracked thru the top of STATES.
Unlike the VAM 19A break, which appears to have been instantaneous, the radial break of the VAM 19B reverse was progressive."

Note: the crack does extend all the way to the Eagles Left Wing but the field is not displaced like it is between the R and the Laurel Wreath cluster.
