1878-S VAMs 1D1/2 and 73 reverse sequence use?

1878-S VAMs 1D1/2 and 73 reverse sequence use?

Not mentioned anywhere but it is logical to think the reverse was use first for VAM-73, the obverse was switched out forming the 1D1, the crack on the reverse happened forming the 1D2 and the reverse die put to pasture?
