@Geseas Ive been thinking about your pictures . looks like one of them had a lot more to eat than the other  . That's the best way I can explain it , I'm not sure why , or how that could be the case . what is the source of the thorn ? the hub or the die?
Hey Bob

I think it may be a good idea to take @Mhomei's suggestion and start a new thread with these 21-S thoughts...I don't know what the title would be for this new thread; "21-S die swelling?" Maybe? I do not know.

I just happened to be comparing the 'Ears' and the areas around the Ear on all the 1921-S morgans in our Vam catalog on line; well, only the ones that boasted a LFCP in its Vam description. (Not that many have a lfcp included in the description.).

I listed these Vams into four categories; based only on what I saw in their LFCP's of the obv.:

1. Fat lobe / parted lip

2. Long lobe /pursed lip

3. Fat lobe/pursed lip

4. long lobe/parted lip

I thought this comparison of images thing, how you view the Web on your computer and the photograph perspective effect on a coins details (MM); had a lot to do with your thread, "legitamate question about VW 1880-O Vam 2 page".

That is how a 1921-s ended up in your 1880-O discussion... Maybe let this, brief, 21-s encounter drift off into the Annals of Time...It is fun though, this Vam thing. Thank you all. *I will add to this post if ok.

You should start one , I won't be much help . There are many here that may chime in . The only other thing I know about the 21's is that I don't have that Zerbe die pair. I know cause I looked .... twice
