I wanna thank you all for your help on the coins I have submitted I really appreciate it. I want to submit this coin because I think it is a VAM 1D but the left 8 (spike in the upper left loop) also has an interesting feature where the 2 loops meet on the right side I cannot place. And the entire raised portrait on the reverse looks pitted. Any ideas if it is a VAM 1D or another VAM?

Based on your photo, I can't tell if there is or there is not a die gouge at O of DOLLAR on the reverse.
If the gouge not there, then it's not VAM-1D.
There are many other 81-S listing with the spike inside 1st 8.
