there are several 1924 die pairs which have a (over)polished reverse die. VAM 1Q was eliminated as it was recognized to be the EDS of VAM 1H. All specimens of VAM 1H I have seen have this overpolished reverse die. It is unlikely that the reverse die would have been replaced before the obverse, due to the die break. It is possible that this reverse was later paired with another obverse die, but I have not seen this.
The photos on the VAM 19A VAMworld page show clash marks & file lines in different position from VAM 1H.
Hope this is helpful,
David
