Does anyone have any information about VAM-14 having been struck with proof dies? I have never heard of an 1878 VAM-14 Proof and nothing about VAM-14 being a proof on VW.

It's the second use of the VAM 9 obverse, so any claimed proof is mistaken in the most charitable reading. This marriage does exist in a PL stage however.
