1882 Die Adjustment Strike Error? Very Odd and Confusing
I inherited this coin from my grandmother and I’m so confused as to what is going on with this coin. It is a 1882 Morgan Dollar that is very, very lightly stamped. There does not appear to be any damage to the coin, just that it wasn’t stamped well. Can anyone shed any light on this…. I’m new to the hobby and I appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks so much!

It doesn't appear to be rotated. A coin in a holder with a tilt to the right of the obverse will result in a tilt to the left of the reverse when flipped top to bottom? Just a well worn coin, been through a lot of use.

That sad dollar did it's job and served many people. It 'did good' Now, it has been rescued and saved from the silver melting crucible, and will live quietly until its silver crystalizes and it falls to dust.

It might actually be valuable if you can clearly determine the mint. Just about a textbook definition of a Poor 01
