@morganman I have a question about this that I know you know the answer to . If a guy ran across this year in a PCGS holder that just said O/S strong , what does that translate too in VAM Language is it VAM 3 or VAM4 .... and sorry I didn't have a Loupe to check how prominent the s in the o was at the time so no idea about EDS orLDS , thank you in advance./// Bob

A label that says just Strong could be either VAM 3 or 4. A label that says Weak is almost always a VAM 5... except I would be 0% surprised if an EDS VAM 3 or 4 turned up in one.
When in doubt... don't.

Thank you MR D , I might go back and look at it again , advantages of being in the sticks we will call it . I almost bought it anyway, but i would think I would have had a moral dilemma if then it was EDS and I was tempted to offer it up for sale here on this message board ... because I did not come to this forum to sell coins { i hate selling them , kind of like to keep hording them }I came here in some vain attempt to try and fix a couple of things i could see that did not seem right to me .

I forget to remember my experiences here listing coins for sale has been very frustrating
not to mention worthless, as many buyers just waste ones time here. IMHO- Only about 10%
of potential buyers here are for real and not cheapscates.

Screw it- the coins i just listed are no longer for sale- and i will remember to refrain from
any further listings, as a waste of my valuable time and energy.

Pissed off in Oregon, at least Not Pissed On- LOL LOL

Answer to Uncle BINGO= Like Dennis H states= PCGS uses Strong designation on both
vam 3 o/s bold & vam 4 o/s recessed on their slabs, which is a
piss poor way and confusing to many. Sure a lot easier to simply
put vam 3 o/s bold or vam 4 o/s recessed on holder, which
clearly sayswhich vam. yet another variety screw up by the
supposed best TPG in business, but not the best Vam ATTRIBUTION
Service. their politics etc also lack decent change and i hope
someday catches up to the assholes IMHO

At my age and experiences i am not very forgiving of certain
TPG service screw ups etc i hope new CAC tpg service kicks
their lousy ass IMHO LOL

I can certainly empathize with you. I returned to coin collecting just when the market crash of 2008/9. I found a lot of errors and dds and began to search out clubs to learn and share and learn. I was dismayed by the egos I ran into and the cheapskate sharks. It was no longer the fun hobby I remembered as a young lad. The greed was extraordinary and ruined it for me for a decade. additionally.. back then eBay was wishy-washy when it came to protecting a buyer. I was unable to recover from several fraudulent purchases. Photos rarely represented the coins and tricks of the light used hid the true condition. [It is much better now, although, it still has an element of buyer beware. This is a great forum of knowledge and insight, and experience] Thank you for your post
