Orlando FUN Roll Call

I didn't see a thread here for the show, so starting one.

Who is planning to attend the FUN show next week in Orlando? Will you make the VAM Thing on Friday afternoon? Are you setting up?

I will be set up at corner booth 319 (Select Rarities). Also at the table will probably be Brent (fogie) and Andy. I know some others who will be or likely will be there, but will let them chime in.

Plan to have Trade dollars, some better Ikes and Silver Eagles, and a fairly complete die pair and stage set for 1900-S Morgans, among other things. Plan to do a Trade dollar die variety presentation at the VAM Thing.

I'm supposed to be there. We'll see if Southwest cooperates and actually flies out of Columbus next week. I'll be at the company table and my presentation of 12 VAMs for 2023 right before VAM Thing. The show should be good.

I'll be at table 806 doing photos Thursday afternoon through Saturday. VAM Thing Friday, dinner at least Thursday night. Private study session with the 21-S Zerbe and maybe 21 Chapman probably Saturday morning. Looking forward to it.

I hope that all of you who plan to attend the show are able to get there... and then get home.... as planned. I have sworn off flying until it is once again a reliable method of travel; getting where you've paid to go and when the airline has promised you'll get there. For months now it seems like every night's TV newscast is a reminder that driving is a more predictable option, no matter how long the trip.

their worth LOL, so nouse to go to a big show to see if any exist

To each his own. For 1922D & 1923D VAMs, there are only a few which require a loupe to be able to attribute, so can often identified on an internet auction even with less-than-good photos. Many of these are exceedingly scarce, so the "thrill of the hunt" is real when a VAMmer finds one.
Collect what you enjoy, & enjoy what you collect.

Never have been prepared to go to a major coin show so fast and early. Bringing all of the Trade dollars, since I am doing a presentation on Trade die varieties. Also bringing baker's dozen of certified ancients, my better certified Ikes and Silver Eagles, a bunch of rare Colonial currency, some Daniel Carr products, Shield nickel varieties, minor silver Seated varieties, practically the entire 1900-S Morgan die pair and die state set, the last 11 Peace certified Peace dollars (I think all of the unlisted ones all sold out to the wild over the past year), and a few other cool coins. Lots of fun stuff to look at even if not collecting or buying. Hmm, Actually, I had better grab the raw Peace dollars I still have. Might be some unlisted among them; I am pretty sure there still were.
