BUMP ..... Still keeping an eye out . It is written somewhere although, Many groups have always thought/ known . If enough positivity, prayer , meditation from a like minded group occurs, the ability to shape the future begins to unfold . Such things are beyond my understanding .Scientifically they quote the law of attraction and who knows maybe this whole thing is just a hologram and you are not really reading this nor am I typing .... Hoping for the recovery of Fogie's stash I know this event has been on the minds of many here . A family I have done a little trading with,{ very nice folks} bought their store from the widow of a dealer that was robbed, shot and killed in his coin store quite a few years back . Sad state the world is in , when we are faced with counting blessings almost that no one got killed this time anyway .

Wow! That is horrible. I am sorry to hear that brent. I just did a show in livinia michigan sunday. At the end of the show while there were few of us left, this gupsy looking guy comes and asks if i have any gold. I say no and he takes off to another table fast. He goes to mike strub’s table and i see lots money come out. I don’t trust him so i keep a close eye on him. Then he leaves with a done deal. And then a short time later he(mike)has an upset look on this face and says they just got ripped off. The jerk played sleight of hand with the stacks of cash and left them with $1100, and took off with the coins and $4100.00. To do that to someone who is disabled is enough for me to want to do serious damage to them. The gypsies got another dealer for 10 $20 saints at another show that i was at. I hate to hear when this stuff happens. It’s devastating to lose a hige amount to f coins.

Sorry for your loss of your coins. I'm like some of the other people on here about what I think should happen to the people who did this. This is not the place to write it.
I'm not a big fish in the Vamworld pond like some of you guys are. I'm just a minner. I know I don't post much on here but I do love reading about your posts, learning about Vams, and history. And I thank you'll for that.
My question is. Is it possible to copy and paste the list on Coin Opp another group I belong to also, so that they may look for these coins also. If my old butt can figure it out I'd like to do this, or if one of you are a member of Coin Opp that you may list the list. Just wondering... Sorry again. Thank you...Ron in Tennessee...

Update (premature perhaps...) John Coxe discovered that some of my purloined coins were offered on ebay by Oakland Coin & Jewely exchange. The police have been notified and (presumably) the wheels are turning (VERY slowly). While there were only 15 pieces being offered - who know - there may be more there. Maybe I will get some back - someday.... A Very special Thanks to John Coxe for that and to Lee for his incredible kindness. The VAM community really is an amazing group of folks!

Except, by all appearances, receiving and selling stolen merchandise.
When in doubt... don't.

Glad they've started showing up locally. I'll put an update on the PCGS forum. Hoping the wheels of justice eventually grind in your favor and everything is recovered. Also hoping they grind the fingers of the thieves down to stumps one at a time and slowly.

They will play by the rules almost certainly. Their place cards for ID and has video surveillance. The likelihood is that they received the entire heist and just listed 15 on eBay as part of their business. If the perpetrators fenced some elsewhere, it is likely similar pawn brokers in the Bay area and at least one of them or an associate will be identified and interrogated. But browsing a lot of coin and pawn shops in the area would not be the worst way to spend a day or two in December. Bet there are a number of 1921-dated Morgans in those shops too to check out.

I am glad they are showing up and I hope you get them all back! My idea of punishment for those involved may be a bit, well alot extreme for most, but I will keep my fingers crossed karma will find a way.
They must have taken my marbles away

Any update ? This whole thing has made me rethink even posting stuff on a public forum . Never really been a big fan of registries due to the unscrupulous eyes that may lurk in the shadows . I got robbed once , a home invasion, nothing to do with coins . It leaves you with a sense of being violated.... and it sucks !! I will leave any comments about punishment of the perpetrators to Karma . Hang in there @fogie . The wheels of justice turn very slow sometimes .....

Ill post this in every group im on. Karma will come back to those that steal. The coin community will find these, and return them to the owner.
