Is this a Gouge, scratch or something else?
Picked this beautiful PL 1880 large S with this wicked scratch I think in wing gap. You can see it easily on full coin but its giant and it does not seem to show in any listings. While Im still digging in the listing looking I was wondering if anyone with more knowledge can explain this mark. Is this a Gouge, scratch or something else?

Looks like a PMD scratch to me.
Re: Is this a Gouge, scratch or something else?
It is raised and goes down into the wing though and otherwise is an almost flawless coin,

It does look raised, but i think someone will have to see it in hand to confirm it.

Does it go from the field into the wing unchanged?
Can you zoom out a bit on that close-up?

I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

Yes, it seems to go right into the wing gap.

Here is an observation that might help, using a loupe 7X from every angle it looks like a gouge even a double (split) one. The coin surfaces are PL and if I get the angle just right, the "gouge" appears to shine like the surface, like a polished path right down the middle of the haze. So maybe this is a highly polished line down middle??
