I did just call this a VLDS and didn't split the listing. I don't recall my exact wording, but I think this is one I'd want to see with and without all the crack/break pattern to generate a distinct VAM stage listing
Pursuant to the current guidelines for new listings, I agree.
But that doesn't subtract from the present example being cool to look at
I also agree.
Welcome to the VAMWorld 2.0 discussion boards. R.I.P. old VAMWorld.

Way cool to see this dandy screw up !!!!
Just thinking how messed up Mint workers were way back 100+ yrs ago, for there to
be thousands of errors within one denomination. The lack of quality controls definately
led Morgan Dollars to forefront of Errors/ Vams as we know them today
I cant imagine what it was like to go to work everyday at various mints, then told to
try & fix certain errors by polishing out etc etc. Amazing, of which we vam nuts are all
thankful of these gazzilion screw ups ;LOL
Darn cool piece of history from the workers to the Equipt used at Mints, all still a mess.
We are so blessed it all happened during this 1878-1921 timeframe, as today would not be
possible, due to great equipt & quality controls.
