O/T Registered Mail is S-L-O-W

It’s always been slow, but it’s getting real slow; used to take a week or so; now one package mailed 8/20 MAY reach its destination tomorrow. It looks like 10-14 days is the new norm. Better safe than sorry; I like the service for mailing higher $$ stuff or things I could not replace.

My recent experiences with Registered are just the opposite
Sent one large sub to Anacs & another to Heritage insured 10k + 15k for
a bit over $60. I figured about 10 days as in past, but both took only 3 days
or so, which was cheaper than 1st class insured

First class insured has gotton crazy - even low insurance value is way up price

I had a registered package show up at the PO Wednesday. It took the clerk 3 days to find the key to the "cage" where it was locked up. It's not just the mail that's slow.

I've noticed that it has a lot to do with where it's traveling. From the West Coast to the East it seems pretty quick. I sent out a package to CAC on the 31st and it was delivered on the 6th. That's with a holiday weekend in there.

Edit, I forgot to mention that that was from West Coast to East Coast. It seems to travel quicker from west to east, as it has taken 10 - 14 days coming this way.

Whenever I use Registered I know full well that I'm getting S-A-F-E in exchange for S-L-O-W.
When in doubt... don't.

I think there has been a misunderstanding about the USPS.
Now that they have been tasked with monitoring your social media posts, delivering the mail may take a back seat.
