OT MY NICEST MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR

I had posted my 1892 PCGSPR65CAM awhile back.
Since I haven't seen or bought any good vams, for a LONG time, I had my PROOF CAMEO
1892 Morgan out looking at it and remembering how excited I was and still am, on owning it.
It is not a vam, but I think one beautiful Morgan silver dollar.

How was proof coins obtained from the mint during this time frame and the cost?
