1878 P II/I 6 sequence?

Post by shortnock » Sun Aug 21, 2022 8:19 pm

Would someone please clarify, if possible, the believed striking sequence of 1878 P Obverse II/I 6? Forgot where this was posted and forgot whether it is the striking or discovery sequence... VAM 85, 80, 80A, 86, 22A, 22B.

Thanks for clarifying. That indicates, to the feeble mind here, that it was used to strike both 7TF and 8TF coins. Interesting, that some 8TF coins, VAM 22, 22A, were struck after 7TF reverse dies had been produced.
