1923-P Vam 1ck Vamcracker

Hello everyone. Thank you for this site. I learn a lot here.

I have been seeking out the 1923-P Vam 1ck In an effort to verify a suspicious non-typical/probably impossible clash.

update: Interesting note from LVA on a different Vam (It may help here I am thinking)

LVA comment: "23-P - 1AN. Interesting that several coins have been discovered with this circular die defect below GOD. Has thin die crack and wear lines thru cicular line, so must be permanent part of die. Haven't seen this depressed die defect before on a Peace $. Not sure what would have caused it. Dropped letter of silver would have worn away soon and wouldn't have die crack of wear lines on it. Maybe something got between the hub and die during hubbing operations and impression stayed there since Peace $ weren't normally basined and polished."

With coin in hand and a 10x loupe there seems to be an interaction with the feeder finger gouge and my clashed first 'S' in 'STATES' suspicion. (I am not sure that is even possible.)

I would like to find/see other examples...if they even exist.
This coin was the subject of a past discussion " here".

This pursuit has led me to ask for your help in a related area.

I see the same die gouge (FFG), but different Cracks from the neck into the field above the '1-9' in '1923'. Not by much...is it close enough to be a 1923-p Vam 1CK?

As the die cracks are different, they are from different dies.
For the coin at the top of the page, it is difficult to determine from the photo if this is some form of PMD, rusted or worn die, or ??. As you had noted, for this to be from a clash is very unlikely, & would almost certainly show strong clashing elsewhere on the obverse.

I wonder what Vam that coin on the left (pictured above) is?

I have found one other Vam that has that same polished triangle 19. It is on a 1923p Vam-1BY.
