Cherrypicking 1878-S LN in the wild..

Post by vincar73 » Sat May 07, 2022 10:23 pm

It's been a while since I wrote here on the forum, but only because I haven't caught anything particularly interesting.
I'm also trying to scrape together about fifteen good VAMs that I can send to messydesk in an upcoming bulk submission.

Returning to the subject of the discussion, the other day I found this 1878-S at auction .... VAM not specified and purchased at the price of about 37$ ....

If I'm not wrong, it seems to be a VAM-58 and in decent grade but maybe not a straght grade...
These are auction pics and still don't have coin in hand but would like to read your opinions on the condition of the coin and if i correctly attributed the VAM

WOW! :o
Regardless of which LN VAM it is, that's a heck of a 'pick. Looks XF to me. Congrats!
When in doubt... don't.
