Re: 75 S Trade Dollar Coin 1
I believe this is C-25. We have C-25.1 catalogued with the break and it was expected that there was earlier production without the break. I had a bid on one such coin in an online auction that I was sure was such a piece. But I did not win it and thus could not get it in my had for inspection. I will need to check to see if I have any remaining examples of C-25.1 for some PUPs. I do have a lot of images too I can go through and I registered at least a couple examples that were in Great Collections auctions at the SSDC Registry, if you want to look for comparison. I think I have some from Heritage around too. One in a record in front of me was NGC 1883085-005, but I need to find the auction appearance for it. Anyway, that is my initial thought, that it is the earlier state and would be listed as C-25. But need to confirm things naturally. According to my spreadsheet, I might still have a 25.1 in PCGS AU Details (cert=42352316). I bought it from Great Collections last Halloween.
