OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
I haven't been lucky enough to find any nice vams for years now.
I did however just buy this BEAUTIFUL 1884 PCGSPRCAM PROOF CAMEO Morgan silver dollar
that I thought was WAY under graded.
The pictures are the sellers, because I don't have the expensive camera equipment or the
experience to take my own.
Enjoy, Bert

Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
I second that WOW!

Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
They really split hairs in not grading that full gem. Unless the images are hiding something, that needs a CAC (perhaps a gold CAC).
Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
Do you have the coin in hand yet? I hope it's as nice as the seller's pictures. PR63 is the bottom grade I'd recommend to anyone buying a proof Morgan, but that looks really nice.

Morgan Dollar Proof Eye Candy !! Thanks for sharing.
Stage 3 TERMINAL DIE STATE SILVER DOLLAR EXPLORER
Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
Thank you everyone.
Yes John, it was delivered Tuesday and it looks even better, than the seller's pictures above.
When I saw the smooth mark free, frosted devices, I wanted it.
The seller had 100% positive feedback for over 1,000 transactions and said the following describing it;
“MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR 1884 PROOF PCGS PR 63 CAM+++ UNDER GRADE MONSTER GLASSY!!”
I tried taking several close up pictures, but I just have a hand held digital camera and none looked as
good, as the sellers pictures.
I couldn't get the frosted devices to show very well.
I have a good scanner for very good detailed scans or pictures and I was going to try taking some pictures,
with it.
Here is what I was going by, as far as grading this 1884.
It is my 1892 PCGSPF65CAM, that I had posted awhile back.
It had professional pictures, taken by Trueview.

The seller’s pictures look a little juiced. I am curious how your pictures turn out. The coin looks way too nice for a 63cameo.
Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
Those are both really sweet coins!
Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
It does. All I can think is that when you tilt it right a bunch of hairlines pop out at you. Those are easily hidden in photos, especially blurry ones.vamsterdam wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 11:42 pmThe seller’s pictures look a little juiced. I am curious how your pictures turn out. Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
Okay I got my old Microtek 5600 scanner out and working and hooked it up to my old Dell PC,
with the old Windows XP and took these scans of my 1884 PCGSPF63.
It was what I used, when I was finding some nice vams, a long time ago.
A good friend had told me about the Microtek 5600 scanner a long time ago, Ron Pope (rest in peace my friend)
I think it only works, with the older PC and Windows XP, that is why I kept this old Dell PC around.
Ron had also told me about how to remove scratches, without leaving tiny swirls, on the plastic slabs.
Use a micro fiber cloth, which you can buy at the Dollar store and Meguir's PlastX, which you can buy at Walmart.
That is what I did on this slab, because there where tiny lines all over the obv and rev and after an hour, they were all removed and the slab looks brand new.
I first saw the beautiful proof Morgan and I knew I wanted it., graded PF63 or not.
Here are my scanner pictures, shows the frosted devices, but not so much, on the beautiful proof mirrors.
Enjoy, Bert

Re: OT 1884 PCGSPR63CAM
the reason that i mentioned juiced photos because i caught a certain punk juicing pictures on facebook. he sold me a pcgs dollar with electric gold color and when i got it it was blah. he accused me of dulling down the coin in order to get out of a refund but i got other people involved and ended up getting banned from multiple groups. i warned him not to mess with me, because i could really shut him down. i saved all of his communications as evidence should he ever show his ugly face again. russ has shown me another dealer who juices his pictures. how these guys get away with it is a shame.
