1901-O VAM 1A LDS pixs
I've wanted one of these for quite a white, and finally got a remarkably nice PCGS-61 for what seemed like under the radar money. The clashes are amazingly strong – as in, "why isn't there an E under the tail?"
I have a question about photo #2: what caused the clash coming out of Liberty's cap?
And is the chip on the upper right tip of the E in AMERICA on most LDS examples?

When in doubt... don't.

Alex, I’ll take “what is the eagle’s wing” for $1,000.

With that amount of rotation my guess is right berry #3. Cool coin !!!

You have the best stage. I have two stage 2 MDS. One is an early stage 2 with no cracks on the reverse. The other is much further along with the cracks and the chip on the E.

Beauty!
I believe @dave700x might be correct about the berry. The clash coming out of Liberty's cap here reminds me of another picture I didn't post on the 1882-O VAM-38B 'Guess the clashing through the snow' fun. I believe I've caught a bit of something similar on the coin I have in hand:
Different rotation during the clash, but a similar effect?
A fun additional bit is catching Lady Liberty's nostril which further confirms the rotation?
Again, great find @DHalladay and thanks for sharing the pictures.

I very much agree. The EDS and LDS coins are miles apart.
When in doubt... don't.

Heavy multiple clasher/die crack heaven
beauties, no matterthe date
Coins like this shoud IMHO always command
a premium as there set way apart from
the crowd. We now have a bunch of cool
clashers at very affordable pricing.
Lets all give Ash Harrison support for
his work on a new Vam price guide
Gotta be time consuming & frustrating
to say least.
