Raw 1921-P VAM-3AM3

Post by LateDateMorganGuy » Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:24 pm

I have a raw coin that is a VAM-3AM3 that looks like it would grade 62 or 63 problem free. Any values on this? Trying to figure out whether to have it slabbed and attributed. Thanks in advance for any info.

It's debatable how many of the 450+ different 1921-Ps are worth any significant premium, although it does happen now and then on eBay via marketing hype and Buy It Now for certified coins. Not that I can explain why, though. These are the only two 3AM3 sales I have in my database. Both are nuts in my opinion:
1921- 3AM3 64 NGC May-21 E $150
1921- 3AM3 63 NGC Apr-21 E $160

Market prices for 1921-Ps in general have gone up a lot this year, to the point that I've been selling PCGS-63s for $72 each. My advice is to get them graded in one of JB's bulk submissions.
When in doubt... don't.
