That price includes the extra 2.5% buyer's fee for using a credit card. I don't think that was how the buyer paid.
When in doubt... don't.

Certainly a trophy coin, reading the description was entertaining though, "pristine surfaces" & "never was in a canvas bag", that mottled toning says otherwise. Loved the gold shield with a green bean plastered over it plus the "Coronet" descriptor. Wonder how much Jack Lee paid for that slab?

Only two VAM possibilities with 1893-S, and this is the 2nd one.
