"out for delivery" (USPS)
"out for delivery" (USPS)
This is one of my very favorite coin phrases, although it also sends my impatience level through the roof.

When in doubt... don't.

I believe anxiety like this may be lessened by building personal relationships with your letter carrier and his supporting team (on your end of the delivery/receiving process). I don't think there is much you can do with the middle of a delivery.
This is just my opinion. Living in the woods may have an influence on my opinion.
. I am sure you may have already done this.

Re: "out for delivery" (USPS)
I've had "Out for Delivery" go 14 days.
What pained me most is that it was an item I sold.
No way to treat an honest customer.

Re: "out for delivery" (USPS)
When I am expecting a nice coin, I closely watch the tracking info, to see what city my package is and when I see 'OUT FOR DELIVERY", I normally sit outside, near the road, around the time the mail lady stops at my mailbox.
I sign a number of those slips, for your signature, with my mail lady, so she can just leave items in my mailbox.
I live out in the normally safe farming area, but I am always to excited, to see it and have it in my hands.
Only one time, when the tracking info said, that it was OUT FOR DELIVERY and I went out, after I heard the mail truck go by, was the coin package NOT in my mail box.
I called the local PO the next morning and they checked and said it would be delivered that afternoon.
A BIG SIGH of relief, because I thought they might have lost it. Bert
