how to remove glue from coin
just got a collection with some dollars that were glued to wood bar, the coins have some hard resin? glue and some splinters of wood stuck hard to the coins
anyone know trick to possible dissolve the glue or resin and remove it and wood splinters?

Glues are diverse, and so are their solvents.
My first go to is acetone.
Then water, rubbing alcohol (polypropylene), and finally an oil base like WD-40.

Acetone should soften that up. You may need to poke with a stick a little.

For old glue and resin, gasoline works well. Then try the others.

Janitorial strength AMMONIA . put in a jar and cap it NEED A WELL VENTED AREA . Wash with lots of WATER . Take your time and be SAFE .
