Funny... but not a scribble!

Post by DHalladay » Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:35 pm

I was shooting scribbles photos today of D1 reverse 1921-Ps. This caught my attention in a big way when I got to VAM 79:

Looks like it was struck through some sort of fabric overall too.

VAM 79 has a spectacular number of heavy horizontal polishing lines:

There was originally only one listing. I forget the details, but I sent four coins to Leroy and two of the others were my discoveries. The original is the VAM-36 listing. About a decade ago, I got also the 1F and 79. The clashed 1F was declined as separate but was later, I believe, listed.

There was some other coin I or someone sent Leroy with a similar impression. I referred to it as a cootie, but he said it wasn't quite the right shape and said it should simply be a worm. I'm not sure if he was being serious or his sense of humor was having a good day.

A bit of biology learning on a Sunday morning?

Looks to me to be the classical pictures of DNA. Yup, the molecules of life.

What do you think? Proof that VAMming is linked to the meaning of life?

is this item struck into the die, or is it something that was struck onto, and retained on the coin?
