This is not the first time this has happened. My 1886-P VAM-20 came from the $30.00 box. It was toned (dark) and it graded out as MS-62. Every since then, I make it a point to check the $30.00 & $35.00 boxes.

Thanks guy! There is one thing I am not sure of. The PCGS registry shows six graded specimens (including my coin), so is there one specimen out there that is not graded or is my coin the six specimen?

The SSDC Registry only shows coins that were explicitly added to the registry. It does not harvest them from TPGs.

I know I've done a couple of examples. There's currently the one AU 58 still on the ANACS pop. I don't know for certain that this piece crossed

Sure beats the hell out of my UNC v44 last year, and
@fogie's 8TF early this year. I'm not sure of any other mega picks this year but even if there is one thats off the radar it would be hard pressed to beat a 23A in 62... This is most likely gonna be the best pick (for years maybe) until someone finds a 215 or one of the uber rare 8TFs that grade out top pop.

What everyone else said.
Refrain from computing the total number of poultry... before the process of incubation has fully materialized.

Exactly JR. Plus on the VAM-23A page under the comments section it states that the DC (cleaned) was in a ANACS holder so, that would make two specimens graded by ANACS. The AU-58 ANACS coin appears to have crossed over to a PCGS AU-58. PCGS pop report list 1 AU-55, 3 AU-58, 1 MS-62 and 1 MS-63. So, not sure if the total is 6 or 7.
