I'm new

Hi,
I'm new to the world of "VAM" so I have a lot of questions.
In going through my coins I found a VAM (1902-O VAM21A),and according to PCGS it is not a recognized for certification.
I can't find any information on the value. This is a common date with a rare variety.
Now What?

PCGS and NGC will only attribute the major VAMs (T100, hot 50, elite 30, etc) ANACS
will attribute all Morgan and Peace VAMs. This coin is worth common money, not a highly desired VAM IMO.

Welcome, and congratulations on discovering new interest in coins you already have. You'll find some neat stuff, some mundane stuff, and some stuff that isn't what you think it is. We'll help when you want it. Realize that most VAMs carry no premium, but a few carry large ones. Some dates are more fun than others to attribute -- I like anything from 1878. Take a look at the Top 100 for a look at the first attempt in 1996 to focus collectors on 100 rare and/or interesting varieties out of the thousands in the VAM catalog. Other similar lists followed due to its popularity.

One thing I love about VAMs on Morgan’s is it’s a way to have something a little different wether it is rare or not for me it’s cool to have coins with die cracks and die breaks , clashed letters etc . That is what hooked me. I am constantly learning from all the great knowledge on here and I can waste ( well spend ) a ton of time surfing eBay , auctions and coin stores looking for unusual coins to buy

Welcome aboard!! I do Peace dollars because it is "the road less traveled", and when I started was largely unexplored for varieties. There are still plenty of good coins out there, so enjoy the hunt! Feel free to ask questions, we are happy to help.
