Re: Summer fun!! 2020
The organizers are probably not going to cancel, in order to avoid cancellation penalties, unless the convention center or a government body forbids such a convention.

Re: Summer fun!! 2020
I don't typically do Summer FUN but if its open and there isn't any other big or small shows I want to go to around it I'll probably go. Alot depends on what the airlines will be doing tho. If they start implementing overly onerous measures I might just start driving more but fully cross county will probably be out for me unless I want to bite the bullet and take an uncomfortable 5hr each way flight.

This is over my birhthday. So if I am at the Orlando house over my birthday, and the show is still on. I will likely make it for at least one day. But yeah, depends on what the airlines are doing in July also.

Anyone have a formula for getting mustard stains off an N-95 face mask? It will be needed if F.U.N. happens.

Re: Summer fun!! 2020
If it happens at all it will be very different than ever before, but I'll put my money on cancellation. That should be about the same time cases spike again.
I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

Club soda and Lysol.
For the mask or taken internally ?

Re: Summer fun!! 2020
Let's not go there, Roger. And speaking of not going there, that is my position on doing Summer FUN. This will not be over then and Orlando could end up being a hot spot. I do not have great hopes for regular FUN, as much as I would love to attend. Will just hope for FUN 2022.

Re: Summer fun!! 2020
From looking at the data I could find, it appears that Orange county/Orlando is past their peak & on a slow downhill curve in new COVID cases. The governor's "opening up" the economy, as least so far, has not resulted in a meaningful increase in new cases. So far, the same has been true in TN & GA as well, with the caveat that people take reasonable precautions against infection.
Unless things change, I expect that the show will be held, with the expectation that attendees, and likely dealers, will be expected to wear a mask (other than in the food section) and maintain social distancing. FYI - when looking at data on new cases, keep in mind that some of the increase, or lack of decrease, may be related to more widespread availability of testing over the last month.
Hope this is helpful,
David

Re: Summer fun!! 2020
Not that this will convince anyone to go to Summer FUN. I am currently in Orlando and have been for a few weeks off and on since February. Doc is right, the cases are dwindling here in Orange County. My wife and I do not venture out unless we have to. But there may be enough time between now and July for things to get calmer. Everyone will do what they think is right minded at the end of the day.
The Scott Dungeon is now in Orlando. But unpacking other things has taken priority for the next few days. Hope all is well with everyone!!!

Staying put; my company plans on many support staff working from home thru at July. Temperature checks on the way in and masks and social distancing are the norm.
Re: Summer fun!! 2020
Just got an email from the Greysheet saying Summer FUN is canceled
