I have an 1886 VAM 20 for sale on ebay
Item# 174231297294
Listed as an auction style listing. Bidding is around $20 last I checked. I believe there is a little over a day left till end of auction.
I just registered here on the new Vam site and not sure how to share the link to Ebay. You can search via the item number above. I am not the most internet savvy person. Any help or advise is welcome. I am not an expert Vammer either, but I do love the hunt, the history, the process and just about everything else that is included. First the Morgan bug drew me in then this whole new world called vamming hooked me good and deep. Many thanks to Mr. Van Allen. Also all others that have made this into what it is today. Thanks for looking.

Any obvious signs of cleaning or other issues that could prevent it from getting into a straight-grade holder?
When in doubt... don't.

No obvious signs to me, lacks luster. I'm just not sure. No evidence of being wiped clean no scratches.

So a couple things:
1) I didn't bid on this coin, but I'd be curious to know who all here did? Were any of you the underbidder, cuz you might want to have a word with eBay if you were.
2) The "look" of it in the pics says cleaned to me anyway.
3) The fact that you have it relisted tells me that there are shananigans at foot here and you just lost all credibility in this community. THE OPEN MARKET told you the value is $207, in what world would you think now that it's worth $1300? GOOD LUCK Chuck!

I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

I was an underbidder at $30 so I could see where it finished. I also didn't like its overall "look".
The relisted version has an opening bid requirement of $950, yet the description says, "BIDDING STARTING AT .99"
When in doubt... don't.

Seller did not like hammer price; so winning bid was refunded; reported to EBAY.

In the old days when I was a seller on eBay, that would get you kicked off as a seller.

I took it in the, well you know where, more than once to try to make someone happy. Sometimes impossible.

Let this serve as fair warning that it will get you kicked off here.

Good! A sell is a sell. That is what "reserves" are for. Thanks.

After being relisted with an opening bid of $950 (and failing to sell), it was relisted again with an opening bid of $750 (and failed to sell again). It is currently listed yet again with an opening bid of $550 and a BIN of $799... and the description still says "BIDDING STARTING AT .99"
When in doubt... don't.

Did not get an opening bid again... and now relisted with an opening bid of $500.
When in doubt... don't.
