1921 P VAM 19A RETAINED CUD
1921 P VAM 19A RETAINED CUD
While looking through my 1921 Morgans, for a vam 41A,
I came across my 1921 vam 19A, with a cool retained cud.
The seller had blurry photos and I couldn't make out much,
but I wanted the large old AACGSMS60 slab and bought it.
When I got it in hand, I was very excited to see everything
going on, on the reverse.
In addition to the R-7 rated vam 19A, I thought it was a
beautiful coin and undergrated too.
Enjoy, Bert

Nice looking 21 - thinking I might have one of those around here somewhere. Not real sure if my example makes the 19a listing, might dig it out and post a pic for comparison.

Nice 19A.
Neat holder, I've never seen one of those before.

When in doubt... don't.

Cool holder. Tough VAM to find. The 1921 P VAM 19A Retained Cud seldom surfaces for sale. The late die stage
of VAM 19A displays a dramatic uplifted field from above the M all the way down into the denticles above
the I in AMERICA. Additional uplifting at the tops of the letters MERI is marked on the late die stage as well.
I was very fortunate to acquire a late die stage VAM 19A in a PCGS AU 58 holder several years ago.

I feel lucky to have 2 examples of this very difficult (R-7) variety.
When in doubt... don't.

I have one
Not something that fits in my collection really but I do have one. Found it at LB a year or so ago IIRC.

Yeah, probably about two or three strikes shy of 19B. Very nice indeed!!!
