Florence Oregon Show PICKS

Post by morganman » Tue Aug 20, 2019 4:42 am

I dont attend many shows anymore- but decided to because only 1 1/2 drive
Took motorhome & slept overlooking beautiful pacific ocean
SIMPLY AMAZING- Could only happen to me LOL LOL =

About 4 table i walked to= Old dealer looked so tired and rough- I had him begin pricing 2 coins
and he couldnt even do that - one was common 1881 S in PCGS 65 that was for sure PL
he was fumbling around and i thought to leave- but decided this poor fellow - so i started looking at a
few PCGS he had. I pick up a ms 63 1887 looking for clashing or anything. I flip to reverse and OH my GOD=

1887 PCGS MS63 25A /Donkey tail - Almost fell outta my seat- Took him 10 minutes to price it at $55
So i bought 4 coins totaling $310. 15 min later i bought 4 $10 indians and headed to RV & my 10x power
scope. My heart was racing as i looked at the 25A- as i new a few 63 have sold at huge money.

So i calmed dwn-ate lunch and headed back to show- went over and got his name -address etc
so i can send him a check later. he will be blown away- poor fellow

Bought 1881 s NGC 66dmpl $1100 - 1881 s NGC 65 $110 A blazer PL- 1887 yellow holder Anacs 64dmpl
Cameo $260 Awesome- A big one here from a youg up & coming oregon dealer 1891 0 Pcgs 63 V 3a2
$325 One of my favorite E rev vams- NAOH natrually-- A wowser to top it off LOL
1878 7/8 v 41C ms63 super cd yellow holder $110 from my Eugene bullion dealer -AOH = Flip it over to rev
and theres my old stickers 7/4 tf r-6- I sold it about 8 yrs ago i think & for a lot more money on e bay
the bearded lady
PCGS 1883 cc Ms65Pl - $450 That is a DMPL ANYDAY/ANYWHERE
PCGS 1883 O ms65 v 36A E clash $125 stark wht beauty
Anacs xf45 yellow v 25A donkey AOH $210
Some 2 1/2 indians PCGS 63 (15) coins

Some other stuff but those are highlights of a great smaller show of about 35 + - dealers and tons
of good/great inventory. I left sat evening & did not attend sun.

Not bad for a older picker and 5 hrs work
I really need to do more shows - but im kinda lazy these days

That sounds like a very productive show. So you bought a coin you sold years ago? That's funny..Well done. Thanks..🐍
