1878 S missing nostril?

I have this 1878 S PCGSMS63, that looks like part of the nostril
is missing.
I have looked at the vams 22, 1G, 96 and 78
No heavy polishing lines thru LIB in LIBERTY.
No short gouge right side of cotton boll.
No vertical polishing line at left side of right 8.
No lines on Eagles left wing.
No RIB doubling.
The mint mark is not set left.
I think I see doubling on the lower inside ear.
I see some interesting things on the ERTY, in LIBERTY.
The only clashing I see, is on the upper inside of the left wreath.
I see a number of polish lines on both the obv and rev.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Bert

i think I see the tiny die chip below Phrygian cap fold and the curved die scratch
in front of forehead and horizontal die scratch between ends of lower two cotton
leaves.
I think I see engraved patch in middle of eagle’s right wing
What about, what looks like a partially missing nostril and the ERTY, in LIBERTY?

There was a clash event and polishing took place. Somewhere out there is a clashed VAM 8. I been looking for one for years.

I'm not sure how I see die markers and vams, to find anything.
I wasn't paying attention, on witch side the E was on with the tiny die chip.
Here is the E on the rev and the die chip. DUH!
Here is a pic of the nose, from the vam 8 page and then a pic of the nose, on my 1878 S.

Would that make any difference?
After all of the polishing, on this vam 8,the only place, that I can see a clash, is on the
of the left wreath.

Does this 1878 S look like a vam 8?
Does the vam 8 have a partially missing nostril and the lines running through LIBERTY.?

Thank you for the PM Tim,
After looking at the correct E and the tiny die chip and now finally seeing the rusted die lines, on the right wing and the engraved wing feather and Tim's information, I see I have a vam 8A.

Attributed by VSS as a VAM 8. It's die 1 as is also has the forehead scratch.
