Scarface back from PCGS

Graded MS63. I'm impressed. Thought toning might get a details grade.

@ashmore86 knows EXACTLY how and why many are toned like that. I'll let him or JR/JB explain it rather than me retelling it second hand but, yes, there is a backstory.

Estimate on value? Oldschool wood tray holder I believe caused the toning.

OH! You know your history. Yes! Value, VAM's are soft, H-10 is still an H-10. D Halladay is the keeper of sales!...

IMHO, I wouldn't part w/ her for less than a strong 9K! But, I'm not buying. Just remember, she's only worth what someone is willing to pay for her(And it should be alot!)...

That's one VAM that is in a set all its own. THE top VAM imho. Congrats!

This is a fantastic coin. 63 is close to the end of the line for Scarface grades. Only one in the PCGS pops at 64. It's a mainstream VAM that will attract lots of attention, and it would be a significant trophy for anyone's Top 100 Morgan VAM set.

Discussion and admiration of the coin itself is appropriate here, but if we want to start discussing values, that's best done on the BST or What's it Worth forum.

I have owned many from the “boards” but none of them were Scarface’s. The toning is so easy to spot. This coin however, is a monster!
