Re: It's Finally In-Hand... Is It a New E Discovery?... Muahaha...
I have read that image sizes are to be kept at certain size, however when I went to FAQ,s the page says "There is currently no text in this page". The image size is to help show where the "E" clash would appear between the tail feathers and the bow having a "n" clash or "G" clash at the neck. I hope this helps those VAMers who are having a hard time with this type of clash. If there is anything wrong with the images those with more experience please correct me and I will try to make the necessary corrections.

Completely understood. But my nose bridge doesn't line up with the nose bridge in the clash shown for the "N" clash in your second photo. Mine is completely left of the wreath, not touching it as in your example...
Line up the nose bridge and it falls directly in line with your first picture and almost exactly where my mark is found.
Edit: Thank you very kindly for the clash photos by the way. You're the only one to even look into it. Thank you boss. I do appreciate it.

I will PayPal someone $5 right now for the "vam fee" to see if this face clash and my mark under the tailfeathers lines up. Consider it saving LVA the hassle...

I'll point out that your most recent shot of what you find 'interesting' under the tail feathers is a completely different spot than what you highlighted at the onset. If the thing you're looking for moves around, that's a definitive answer.
BTW, any E that might result from a G clash or near miss would land under TF6.

On the previous page I posted this one. Wasn't showing different marks, was showing a different coin. Nothing has moved around.vampicker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 12:25 pmI'll point out that your most recent shot of what you find 'interesting' under the tail feathers is a completely different spot than what you highlighted at the onset. I think i got this picture right... As close as I can without having to go off-alignment anyways.
Yah the top of the E would be all I could see under the last TF, and it's still off by just a little. I'll see if i can get the face lined up completely correctly when I get home later today, but this is the best I can do on my phone. Maybe too far over to be what I'm looking for...

But now if it were the top of it...

Fine, neither coin has clashes that line up with what you think could be an E. For your coin with the near miss on the G, it's a full tail feather off. For the other piece with the multiple clashes between the n and G, it's almost two full tail feathers off.
And you don't need to show me overlays

Was more for me boss, my apologies. Just posting to at least make sure I'm lining it all up correctly, even if it proves my coin wrong. I can't picture this stuff without seeing it. I made the transparencies last time, and I'm starting to figure out how to use them to rule out markings. The nose bridge still needs to come over to the left a little more in the picture, but it's the best I can do without Adobe.vampicker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 2:44 pmFine, neither coin has clashes that line up with what you think could be an E. If the mark were the top of the letter and not the middle, why would it be a full TF off? I can see you saying a couple mm's... But a whole TF?

Look at the 80 VAM 39A. That is an actual E clash with a near miss on the G. Look at where the E sits. It's a full feather off from where you drew your lines at the onset. What's hard to understand?

Re: It's Finally In-Hand... Is It a New E Discovery?... Muahaha...
This is the 39... Mine's angled even farther than the 39... That's why it's hard for me to understand. You are comparing clashes that are similar but not aligned the same. I'm trying to make the comparison in my head without visuals.
I'm making myself tools to help. Give me credit for effort over here lol.

A slightly greater angle of approach to the G would push any potential E further left and further under TF6.
BTW, the tail feathers are 0.8 mm wide. If you actually were a couple of full millimeters off, I'd probably not even bother trying to answer.

Re: It's Finally In-Hand... Is It a New E Discovery?... Muahaha...
That's my point.
Chalk up another useful nugget of knowledge dropped on me in the course of a frivolous E pursuit. See these don't turn out completely useless... I learn something from each one...

Are you sure that's your point? You asked about and drew over a mark further to the right solidly under TF5.

Are the TF's counted and numbered from right to left JR?

Again. Completely different coin. The first one had an N clash, and I was looking at a mark next to the wreath. This one has a G clash and I'm looking under the 6/7 TFs...
I'm not understanding the correlation between the two...

Forgot to specify viewers right to left. Wondering if that's just a JR thing or standard.
