IMO, all previous sales that have resulted in significant premiums have involved totally clueless buyers falling for shameless sales hype. There are just a handful of us who collect 1921-Ps and to my knowledge we all have at least one example already. It's a neat VAM and it's not exactly common, but the rest of the collecting world just doesn't care. (The one and only VAM 19B that is known, however, is an entirely different situation, although we handful of specialists may be the only ones who are aware of what it is.) I think VAM 19A is legitimately worth a bit more than Greysheet, but how much more is debatable. Ten or twenty dollars more? Maybe. A hundred plus? Not in my 1921-P reality.
