If they'd garner any premium, it would be very minor. They are not particularly rare. I see lots of folks trying to squeeze big prices out of them... the key phrase here being "lots of folks". Still a REALLY cool VAM, though!

And this is a perfect example of why no R-numbers will be assigned to new VAMs.

And it does happen sometimes, which I think speaks volumes about how dangerously clueless some buyers are. For example:
-- an ANACS-63 sold for $210 on eBay in Feb. '21
-- a PCGS-63 sold for $71 on eBay in Feb. '21.

-- a PCGS-62 sold for $216 at Heritage in June '21.
-- a PCGS-62 sold for $52 on eBay in Oct. '20.

-- a PCGS-55 sold for $88 on eBay in Aug. '21.

to bargain basement IMHO

Typical case of many ms examples being found after initial discovery and high
value originally. MS 64 quite available with ms65 tough find but out there.

if memory serves me correct, originally a ms 64 valued $1500 then whoosh, down
down. This is a prime example that proves investing/trying to profit in general from
vams is tricky and not for the un informed.

So is the $240 listed on SSDC in the price guide an accurate estimate for an MS64 coin? Has it really plummeted that much?

I don't have many MS64 sales in my database, but I'd say that in the current market $240 is too high:

So the decrease in 38B value makes one want to puke literally as i spent many hrs
picking upper end examples, only to see my efforts crushed. This type of mess is why
im selling out everything after many yrs collecting.

FTR, the price didn't go "whoosh", it was never worth what was listed. This was likely due to a lack of real data and a bit of wishful thinking on Logan's part. But even back then you wouldn't have had a chance to get anything close to that from a knowledgeable collector. Scott, ask yourself this question: If I've been gathering a bunch of these up, how rare can they be?
Also, who in their right mind would pay $1500 for a coin that they could likely find in a week or two of looking for common money?
